A laptop is a portable computer that is designed to be easily transported and used in a variety of settings, including on-the-go. Generally, it features a display, keyboard, trackpad, and battery, allowing for much more flexibility than a desktop computer. It is typically powered by an Intel processor or AMD processor, and has a moderate amount of RAM, usually between 4 and 8GB. Laptops tend to have smaller form factors than desktops, but are still highly powerful machines for daily tasks such as word processing, multimedia, and web browsing. They have a wide variety of ports including USBs, HDMI, Ethernet, and audio ports, and come with a variety of OS options such as Windows, macOS and Chrome OS. They can also be fitted with additional hardware such as a webcam, speakers, and extra storage.
